Tenant Duty Counsel

Tenant Duty Counsel provides information and legal resources to eligible tenants appearing at hearings before the Landlord and Tenant Board (LTB).

​

Tenant Duty Counsel is available at LTB hearings to advise tenants about their rights and responsibilities under the Residential Tenancies Act and the potential implications and options regarding proceedings at the LTB.

​

Tenant Duty Counsel may also provide limited brief services, including brief appearances before the LTB, to assist the most vulnerable tenants based on factors such as language, culture and disability.

Landlord and Tenant Board hearings take place approximately every three weeks on Thursdays at the

Delta Hotel Sault Ste. Marie located at 208 St. Mary's River Drive, Sault Ste. Marie, ON.
