ID Bank

The Algoma Community Legal Clinic has partnered with Ontario Works to assist individuals in obtaining their identification. 

This service is known as the ID Bank. 

This project started in 2017 and has been a very successful service to those in need.  Since the inception of this project, we have assisted several hundred individuals in obtaining their identification. 

This has removed many barriers for them in the community and in turn has allowed them to open bank accounts, find suitable housing and access food banks, among many other things.
